RoHs / Reach

We make sure that our processes are optimized for environmental impact and recyclability and expect environmentally compatible products from our suppliers.

We reduce emissions and foster occupational safety by conserving raw materials and consumables and by reducing the use of hazardous materials. We believe that man and nature should not only coexist at the factory level.

The REACH Directive corresponds to this objective. It ensures that chemicals are used safely to better protect human health and the environment.

B&M Optik observes these principles without exception.

B&M Optik, iaw. EU directives 2011/65/EU and 002/95/EC

The EU Directive 2011/65/EU and its predecessor 2002/95/EU are designed to restrict the use of certain hazardous materials in electrical and electronic equipment and regulate the use and distribution of hazardous materials in devices and electronic components. The Directives are colloquially abbreviated as RoHS in the German-speaking territories. The abbreviation comes from the English language and means “Restriction of Hazardous Substances”. The outdated EU Directive 2002/95/EC (RoHS 1) was replaced by 2011/65/EU (RoHS 2), which went into effect in January 2013.
